10 Travel Hacks To Keep In Mind If You’re Going On A Solo Trip

Travelling alone can be quite intimidating. Do you have the right equipment? Are you carrying enough supplies? What about your finances? Is the itinerary going according to plan?

There are so many things to keep in mind, especially since there’s so much that can go wrong. But the key is to stay calm under all circumstances. You need to understand that a solo trip is supposed to be the experience of a lifetime, one that not too many are fortunate enough to have.

In case you have a solo trip coming up, there’s no need to panic. These are some hacks you can keep in mind:

1. Research

Before you embark on your journey, make sure you plan ahead. Know where you’re going and come up with an itinerary beforehand. That really helps a lot.

2. Prebook your hotels

Don’t keep it for the last moment. If you’re travelling to more than one place, make sure you have your accommodation sorted before you start.

3. Keep a portable charger handy

You’re going to need this. Your phones, cameras all need to be charged properly. So that you stay connected no matter where you go, keep a portable charger with you.

4. Have a check list.

You’re going to be responsible for your own goods, and if you lose them, that’s on you. Keep a check list with you to avoid such issues.

5. Keep an eye on your documents

If you’re travelling alone, you’ll be needing documents like photo IDs, permits and so on. Passport too, if you’re travelling abroad. Keep a track of these.

6. Have a first aid kit with you

No matter where you go, make sure you have a first aid kit with you. These could include bandages, paracetamols and other essential meds that you could be needing.

7. Travel light

Why on earth would you want to burden yourself with too much luggage? Pack only what you really need for your solo trip.

8. Rely on social media

If you’re alone in an entirely new city, you could rely on social media to give you pointers on what you should do. This could work wonders for you.

9. Don’t forget a map!

If you’re trekking or travelling to remote regions, make sure you have a map with you. This would ensure you stay on track without getting lost.

10. Trust instincts

If something feels wrong, it probably is. Trust your gut. While trying new experiences is fun, it’s always better to stay on the safer side.

Happy tripping!

8 Common Food Combinations You Shouldn’t Have Together. We Bet You Didn’t Know About These.

When you’re caught up in the hustle and bustle of daily life, it’s really hard to keep a tab on what you’re eating throughout the day. Most of us just grab what’s in front of us and can keep our tummies happy.

But that’s not always right. There are some food combinations that are disastrous if taken together and could take a serious toll on your digestive system.

Check these out:

1. Fruit with a meal

Avoid having a fruit with or after your meal. When it comes to breakfast, fruits are okay. But when it comes to full meals like lunch or supper, it’s best to avoid such a combination.

2. Meat with potatoes

Thinking of a steak with mashed potatoes probably has you drooling right now. But experts say that you should never combine an animal protein with a carb since it can lead to bloating and flatulence.

3. Cereals with fruit juice

For those of us who don’t like to have tea or coffee, fruit juice seems to be the only way out when it comes to breakfasts. But if you’re having cereals, avoid fruit juice.

4.Yogurt with fruit

Fruits and cream sounds delicious, but avoid yogurt with fruit. Acids present in yogurt would react with fruits and might even result in allergies.

5. Tomatoes and pasta

Tomatoes and pasta seem like a heavenly combination but its better to avoid the combo altogether since it can lead to digestive issues.

6. Mint with aerated beverages

This one is pretty common. Avoid mentos with Coke or any other form of mint with an aerated beverage. No, you won’t explode, you’ll simply be extremely uncomfortable for a while.

7. Banana with milk

That’s probably why you rarely see a banana milkshake. The thing about bananas and milk is that they’re both rich, which makes it tougher for your tummy to digest.

8. Bacon and eggs

Nothing to be astonished about. Both are high proteins, and according to experts, its best to avoid such a combination.

Which one have you had?

Total Dhamaal Movie Review: Don’t Miss Anil Kapoor-Madhuri Dixit Together On Screen After Ages

Directed by Indra Kumar, Total Dhamaal is the third installment of the very successful Dhamaal franchise. The last film released way back in 2011, which was declared a sleeper hit.

Keeping up with the original story line, the film revolves around a mysterious 50 crore treasure hidden in a zoo in Janakpur. After a dying man reveals this secret, the most awaited mad chase begins.

This film’s highlight is the ensemble star cast, who brought out the comic adventure well enough. The shoulders are strong enough to carry a film which left very little to our imagination.

The most favorite and the magical pairing of Madhuri Dixit and Anil Kapoor after eighteen years, brings the most hilarious and favorite comic scenes in place. Their constant bickering as a married couple hit the right comic notes.

This film has been hailed as an adventure comedy and as promised it delivered a net entertainment for two hours, which can be easily termed as a full paisa vasool film. It tried and got a well LOL moments throughout.

The adorable and most favorite duo has to be the brothers. Arsad Warsi and Javed Jaffrey who we have seen in the first two installments also tried hard and made it possible to retain their individual hilarious talents as well.

Sanjay Mishra unconvincingly addressing Ajaj Devgan’s Radhe as bro will not get along the film for very long.Meanwhile Reteish Deshmukh and Johny Lever together gave a better camaraderie to watch for.

Helicopters, ramming cars and roaring wild animals helped the makers to make the comedy, predictable and loud.Various plot twists and excellent slapstick scenes helped this film to generate a good steady hilarious family entertainer.

Overall, we’d rate the film 3 out of 5 stars.
