The trailer for Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra’s Kesari came out today, and we must say, we’re mighty impressed.

The sheer portrayal of valour and courage, as 21 Sikhs wage a fierce battle against 10,000 Afghans in the Battle of Saragarhi has us hooked from the very beginning.

The first part of the trailer is enough to give anyone goosebumps.

Akshay Kumar’s Havildar Isher Singh speaks about the British calling India a land of cowards. So it’s not just Sikhs vs. Afghan invaders, it is also a tale of Sikhs defending their land and honour from the British.

For those of you who don’t know, the Battle of Saragarhi was fought in the September of 1897. Akshay Kumar does prove Singh is King, all over again, and this time, we couldn’t be prouder.

Parineeti Chopra also makes an appearance in the trailer, as the proud wife of a martyr.

The best part? The trailer proves that the actors, their costumes, their weapons and even their mannerisms remain true to 19th century India. After all, that’s what a period drama is all about.

The country has still not recovered from the gaping wounds that the Pulwama tragedy of 14th February left behind. When news of over 40 CRPF jawans being martyred reached us, we all had only one thought on our minds. And no, it was not revenge.

We could not help but think of the families and loved ones the soldiers left behind.

After the Pulwama incident, another shocking event has come to light which has left us heartbroken. This is the story of another jawan, and his family whom he left behind.

In 2013, Om Prakash Mardania of Shahpur village in Sehore was martyred in a similar terror attack in Srinagar. He was survived by his wife, Komal Bai and their two children.

Recently, a man who identified himself as Mishri Lal Meena arrived at their doorstep pretending to be a CRPF jawan. He claimed to have come for a routine inspection.

However, he then told Komal that the CRPF will be sending her 34 lakhs as compensation and in order to receive it, she would have to return the 8 lakhs she had received earlier.

Not suspecting any foul play, Komal withdrew the money from the bank and handed it over to the man pretending to be the jawan. He later disappeared with the whopping amount.

The incident has been taken up with higher authorities and an investigation has been started into the whereabouts of the man.

The question remains, is humanity really no more? During such tumultuous times, this man actually had the audacity to dupe the widow of 8 lakhs, which she was probably saving for her children’s future, in the absence of her husband.

Ever since the Pulwama tragedy, people from all over the nation condemned this shameful act of terrorism. A car full of 350kgs of explosives rammed into the CRPF convoy, taking lives of more than forty of our Jawans.

Bollywood celebrities since then have been voicing their concerns and calling this an act of extreme cowardice.They even are raising funds for the families of the martyred. Even they all boycotted any cultural ties with Pakistan.

Now, amidst all these we also saw how ace tennis player Sania Mirza was mercilessly slammed on social media for not mentioning Pakistan in her condemning tweet against the Pulwama incident.

Soon,after this incident Shah Rukh Khan’s name surfaced for all the wrong reasons. A video surfaced online, which then went viral. The video claimed that Shah Rukh Khan, back in 2017 made a huge donation of 45 crores to Pakistani victims.

It was realized later that the video is trimmed and is fake. The video went circulating in a mission to tarnish King Khan’s image.In fact, he made no such donations even. This was confirmed when that news channel went to Khan’s media team for confirmation.

This fake news started to label Shah Rukh Khan as ‘anti-national’, social media went slamming him for a donation he never made. The people sharing this video is gullible and is believing something absolutely fake.

But fortunately Twitterati came in for their King Khan’s defense and started using #StopFakeNewsAgainstSRK in order to criticize the people who are spreading hate and unrest over a matter that is non existent.

Even celebrities like Hansal Mehta and Kubbra Sait tweeted how misleading these news are.

A web portal which goes by the name of Cobrapost has revealed that numerous Bollywood celebrities allegedly get paid by political parties and politicians to express personal opinions in their favour.

Almost every celebrity in Bollywood has a social media account and they frequently resort to these platforms to express their personal opinions on various current affairs, social issues and so on.

Often, they get paid to promote certain products and that is usually known as paid partnership. But what this website has revealed is something different, and altogether appalling.

According to Cobrapost, there are several celebs (actors, musicians, comedians and so on) who take money from political parties in order to express convoluted opinions which can mould public opinion.

These celebs have tried to further political agendas by taking money from political parties, and essentially selling their personal opinions for monetary gains.

Cobrapost had also tried to carry out the sting operation on Saumya Tandon of Bhabiji Ghar Pe Hain fame. And our respect for her has increased after watching the video.

In the video, Saumya is seen refusing to take money in exchange for expressing her personal opinions in favour of the political parties. She is very clear on her priorities and you can see what happens in the video:

He talked about his own struggle and said that he was consumed by the bottle and it was only when he saw his mother breakdown he decided to quit drinking.
