PUBG or PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is a very popular multiplayer battle royale game but it seems that it is going to face many problems in India in near future.
On Thursday, a PIL (Public Interest Litigation) was filed in the Bombay High Court by an 11 years old boy, demanding a ban on the mobile game PUBG. The name of the boy is Ahad Nizam and he has filed the PIL through his mother. The reason given by him for demanding a ban is that this game promotes cyber-bullying, aggression and violence.
The petition reads that the concerned court should order the state government to ban the game and it also wants that the central government should also be ordered to form an Online Ethics Review Committee for the purpose of doing periodic audits of such violent and aggressive online content.
Most probably, the appeal will be heard by the division bench which will be headed by CJI N H Patil.
How popular PUBG is can be understood by the fact that even Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi talked about it while he was interacting with students and parents.
Earlier also such demands have been made as the game is very addictive and it is affecting the productivity and efficiency of people to a great extent. In fact, the Gujarat government has already banned it in the primary schools and just recently, the J&K students union has also demanded a ban on PUBG.

Sonam Kapoor and Anil Kapoor starrer ‘Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga’ released yesterday, and to mostly mixed reviews.
However, the film, directed by Shelly Chopra Dhar, clearly failed to perform according to the sky high expectations at the box office.
Yet, it must be mentioned that the film is one of its kind, and is probably going to set the ball rolling for directors who want to venture into something different.
It must also be remembered that the film had a limited release, meaning that it released in only a few select multiplexes. This could be one of the major reasons why the numbers are so low.
On day one, ‘Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga’ made roughly 2.75 to 3.30 crores. The fact that the cast performances were not too strong, or that the soundtrack failed to impress could be other reasons.
However, it is too soon to predict or even call the film a disaster just yet. The weekend has only just begun, and we are hoping that word of mouth publicity would work wonders for the film.
So far, the Day 1 collections are: 3 crores approx.
So tell us, are you planning to watch the film this weekend? We assure you, you will not regret it. Stay tuned for more updates.
After the Budget for 2019 was released, Congress thought it could troll BJP on social media by highlighting the differences between promises and reality.
Congress president Rahul Gandhi had earlier slammed BJP and Modi for providing Rs. 17 a day to the farmers, calling it an insult and humiliation.
In the same way, they tweeted that while the BJP government had promised Rs. 6000 to the farmers each year, they were apparently providing Rs 500 per month in reality.
Do you see where they made an error? It’s the same thing! 6000 in a year and 500 per month amount to the same value! This major faux pas got badly trolled on Twitter as people were quick to realize the mistake and catch them off guard.
